Cover letter and CV

How did I applied to Disney ICP? Through my University, but you can do it also through the Disney page. You have to be enrolled on a University and have completed at least one semester to apply, if you already graduated there is also the Cultural Representative Program if you want to go to work for Disney.

The first step to apply is to send all the paperwork they need, your CV and a cover letter, explaining why you want to work for Disney and how is this experience is going to help you in your career. If you want to apply be honest in your letter, let the Disney representative who is going to read your letter know you, I know for a fact that the thing that gets you to the next round is this letter.

A hundred applied in my school, only ten of them got to the next round, me included and I feel so blessed, after you get to the next round the next step is a phone interview.

Why Disney?

In this post I want to talk a little about applying to the program. I applied because I think Disney is an amazing company, with some of the best storytelling in the world, not only just in their movies, but also in the parks, the restaurants, all Disney experiences actually. Also cause i'm a Disney girl, I grew up with Disney, my childhood is full of Disney memories I love the company and as a child my parents never had the opportunity to take me and my sister to the park, so if this is the way to do it, and also learn a lot of a company that I admire, so be it.

Introducing me

Hi! This is not my first blog, although it is the first one i'm doing in english, in advance i'm sorry if my english (specifically my grammar) is not perfect, those will be honest mistakes.

My name is Jimena, i'm form Mexico City and this year i'll be participating in my first Disney ICP program as a Character attendant. Yeii! I'm so excited. I had a blog from my au-pair program in 2012 and now it's wonderful (and painful) to go back and read everything again, so I thought it would be a good idea to have another blog from this experience.

I never been to World Disney World or Disneyland before, so this is like a dream come true, cause I'm all Disney girl, I have a long list of things I want to do and I'm overly excited.
